A few weeks ago HTC made an announcement, that they would deliver an update for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for some of their devices in the beginning of March and it seems, that the company is going to keep their promise. According to quite a few German users, the update has already began and the devices, which are going to receive it first are the Sensation and the Sensation XE.

Included languages: ENG, GER, RUS, CHS, CHT.

The best thing about this UtraFruit ROM is the improved camera quality and the fixed power drain issue after every reboot.

Also, it’s fully unlocked, so you can install every apps that you want 🙂

Here is the latest Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich NAND ROM for HTC HD2 (CyanogenMod 9) from tytung.

  • Include Android Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 / CyanogenMod 9. (All current CM9 works, Enhanced Power Menu, Power Notification Widget, Trebucket Launcher, T9 Dialer, etc.)
  • Include tytung’s 2.6.32.15 Ice Cream Sandwich kernel v1.
  • Include tytung’s Ice Cream Sandwich ramdisk (initrd.gz).
  • Include the required proprietary binary files and the HD2 – specific files from my AOSP GB ROM (i.e. NexusHD2-Gingerbread).
  • Credits: tytung, samuaz, texasice, ankuch, rapmv78, the CM and Evervolv teams.

New multitouch driver for HTC HD2 running Windows Phone 7

If you are using HTC HD2 with Windows Phone 7, may be you already know about the multitouch “problem” (in example in IE when you are trying to zoom something, you need to touch the screen with two fingers at the same time to get the pinch-to-zoom working, also all games that uses multitouch cannot be played)…

And here comes the new modded multitouch driver for HTC HD2 from the XDA member AnDim:

“I have fixed some bugs in the original HTC touch driver. Multitouch is working good now (tested by xboxmod), but there are yet some difference with other native WP7 drivers. It will be fixed soon.”

Note: if you want to use just the driver itself, you need to re-build a new ROM with the dll inside.

The good news are that the multitouch driver is already included in some WP7 ROM’s that you can use:

Windows 8 running on your “old” HTC Shift? Yeah, it’s true, just need to install it 😀

No part of this process is very complicated, it mostly came down to installing the right drivers in the right order, just read the guide and follow each point and you should not go far wrong.
