The first 7″ tablet running Android 3.0 is already on the market
The Acer Iconia Tab A100 is the first tablet on the US market with a 7″ screen and Android Honeycomb. This became possible with Android 3.2 which solved the resolution problems. It costs $330 for the 8 GB version or $350 for the 16 GB and is powered by a dual-core 1 gHz Nvidia Tegra processor, which is helped by 1 GB of RAM. The 7″ screen has a 1024 x 600 resolution. Some of the other features are a from-facing 2MP camera and rear-facing 5MP one with an LED flash and autofocus, WiFi a/b/g/n and microHDMI. According to Acer the battery should last about 5 hours on a single charge. B.A.
