Multiple rumors have appeared online lately, all pointing to the fact, that Amazon are going to release a new tablet in the recent future and this seems to have became the common opinion, despite the fact, that it hasn’t been confirmed by the company. According to some of the rumors, Amazon are also going to lower the price of their Kindle Fire tablet, which is currently being sold for $199 to $149 in order to sell all of the device they have in stock before releasing the new ones on the market – something, which is expected to happen in the beginning of Q3.

The next generation tablet is expected to still have a 7″ screen, though with a higher resolution – 1280×800, which is going to make it somewhat of a competitor to the higher-end tablets on the market. There is also the possibility, that the company also reveals a budget device with a price of just $149, which might have a  1024х600 resolution and specifications similar to these of the Kindle Fire. The rumors also give us interesting (though, of course, unconfirmed) information about the company’s plans to release bigger tablets – according to them, work on the expected 8,9 device has, at least for the time being, been stopped, while a 10.1″ tablet is probably going to be released in the end of this year or the beginning of 2013.
