Kindle Fire already changing the tablet market
|Just a couple of weeks after it hit the market, Kindle’s budget tablet – the Fire, has already begun changing the tablet market. Market analyzers already believe the device will outsell all of the iPad’s other competitors in Q4. Their expectations are for the Kindle Fire to sell in about 4 million – a rather impressive number, which will give Amazon a 14% share of the tablet market.
Of course, the first place will be held by Apple with 65% and the third place by Samsung with 5% – surprisingly less than Amazon. The agency reckons, the success of the Kindle Fire is going to increase the demand for such devices and cause the tablet market to grow to 65 million units – 273% more than last year. B. A.
