- ZTE Athena
Huawei may have managed to catch the audience’s attention with the debut of the 6,68mm thin Ascend P1S smartphone, but another Chinese company is ready to beat their achievement. We’re, of course, talking about ZTE and a device, which they have recently revealed with the code name Athena, which is going to measure just 6,2mm in thickness. This information is coming from a high-ranked employee in ZTE, so it can (sort of) be thought of as official.
The other known specifications of the device however are also quite interesting – among them are a 720p HD display, a multi-core Cortex A15 processor and up to 64GB of built-in memory – all very impressive! The Miflavor UI has also been mentioned and it’s going to be put on top of Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, so the device is also going to be up-to-date software-wise. Sadly, no information has been released regarding release dates and prices, so we’ll just have to wait and hope for the device to be sold outside the Asian market. B. A.
