Google’s traditional I/O conference is about to begin later this month – on the 27th to be exact, and that’s also when we’re expecting to see the debut of the long-awaited Nexus 7 tablet. Thanks to some benchmark results, which recently leaked online, we can guess about some of the device’s technical specifications, such as its processor – supposedly a Tegra 3 one, which is said to be clocked at 1.3 gHz, and a 7″ display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. It is, of course, going to run Android – version 4.1, to be more specific, which is most likely going to be the so-called Jelly Bean.

The official name, under which the tablet is going to be sold, is still not certain, though, most people believe its going to have Nexus somewhere in it. According to the rumors, everyone who has already paid the (expensive) ticket for the conference, will also get one tablet as a gift from Google. The device is expected to sell at $199, which is going to make it sort of an impulse buy and a strong competitor against Apple’s iPad. Its market debut is expected to be the same for both Europe and America. B. A.
