Sony turned out to have prepared another surprise for their fans alongside the revealing of the Xperia miro. It actually consists of two other devices or rather two modifications of the same device – the Xperia tipo. The budget smartphone is going to be even more compact than the miro and it’ll be offered in two version – a regular and a dual-SIM one. The gadget is going to hit the market at about the same time as the miro – in Q3 of this year, and will also run the same version of Android – Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Xperia tipo is aimed at people, who have only used feature-phones up until now and this device is intended to be their first contact with a smartphone, which is also why it comes with some features intended to help such users, the most useful of which is probably an app to monitor your cellular data usage. Of course, such users aren’t really going to need the most powerful hardware – this phone comes with a 3.2″ display with a 480×320 resolution and a scratch-resistant display, as well as most standard features, such as WiFi, Bluetooth, a camera (with a 3.2MP resolution, to be specific) and quite a big battery – 1500 mAh, which is said to be enough for 24 hours of usage.
