The Meizu MX
|
For the last few weeks the Chinese company Meizu have been preparing us for the release of their next smartphone and even mentioned something about it having a quad-core processor, which would had made it the first quad-core smartphone on the market. The device was finally presented and a lot of information was given about both the specs and the release date & price. As it turns out the device will hit the Chinese market on 01.01 at about $470.
The first versions will rely on a 1.4 gHz dual-core Exynos 4210 processor, which is also used in the Galaxy Note. Later on a quad-core modification will also be released, but there is no detailed information about it yet. The MX is going to have a 4″ ASV screen with a 960 x 640 resolution, as well as 1GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage (32GB version also coming later on).
The device also has an 8MP main camera, which records 1080p video and a VGA one for video-calls. Other useful features are the optical trackpad and the USB host support. Meizu MX will be released with (a highly customized) Android 2.3.5 and will most likely receive and update for 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. B. A.
