Samsung looking to make their devices more energy efficient
|
Kevin Packingham, vice president of product innovation at Samsung, has announced in a recent interview, that one of this years’ main goals for Samsung is increasing the battery life of their phones, so that users can enjoy a full day of intensive usage and still have some battery left when they get home.
Samsung is going to focus on two main ways to improve the battery life of their phones – they are going to start putting bigger batteries in them (while trying not to make the devices look too fat) and also optimize certain parts of the software. Battery life is a very big issue with modern phones, with they big screens with HD resolutions, working with dual-,quad- and quint-core processors and operating on 4G networks and some devices can’t even last a single day. This is why we’re hoping, that more companies will begin improving their devices’ battery life. B. A.
