Two years after they appeared on the market with the first Android smartphone, Google has finally decided to release the new version 2.3 of the platform that we know under the code name Gingerbread. Along with this, and the second smartphone announced into the Nexus series – here is the Nexus S, which is manufactured by Samsung. In the U.S. Nexus S will be available after Dec. 16. It has a 4″ curved (Contour) Super AMOLED screen with WVGA resolution, 1GHz CPU Samsung Hummingbird, 16GB internal memory, Wi-Fi b / g / n, NFC (Near Field Communications). This is the first smartphone that runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Other standart features included – Bluetooth 2.1, GPS navigation wtih Google Maps, 5MP camera with flash and a second camera for video, G-sensor, cover the hull against fingerprints and compatibility with VoIP / SIP services for Internet calls. The dimensions of Nexus S – 63 x 123,9 x 10,88 mm and 129 grams weight, it has a 1500 mAh battery.

In the U.S., the device can be purchased from T-Mobile stores, Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile, in England is expected after 20 December at Carphone Warehouse and Best Buy at a price of 550 pounds (650 euros).
