Somewhat surprisingly, Google have released the first version of their beloved Chrome browser for Android devices. So far the application is still being developed, so this is not the final version, but it’s still going to be received well by most people, using this browser on their home computers as well.

Just like the normal version, Chrome for Android is focused at two things – speed and ease of use. It also offers some of the features of the computer version – bookmark synchronization and support for multiple tabs, but they’re combined with a whole new interface, optimized for mobile devices, which also supports gestures. Chrome for Android can be downloaded from the market, but so far its requirements for both tablets and smartphones include Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, which is quite a serious limitation. We are, however, expecting it to arrive for other version of the platform quite soon. B. A.
