Benchmarks reveal the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S III
|
The third of May is approaching fast and with it – Samsung’s event, at which the Galaxy S III is going to be revealed. There have been a lot of rumors ad leaks about the device in the last couple of days and we already know some details about it. It’s also almost certain, that the phone is going to bear this name (contrary to some rumors) , as two devices in Kies, which were numbered GT-i9300 and GT-i9300T, were both listed as Galaxy S3. Additionally the device already appeared in a number of online stores with this name.
And now, thanks to results from AnTuTu Benchmark, we know not only what kind of hardware the device has, but also how powerful it actually is – as it turns out (not that it wasn’t expected) it has topped the scoreboard with a result even higher than the Transformer Prime – the former leader. According to the information, given by the application, the device is relying on a quad-core Exynos 4212 processor, clocked at 1.4 gHz (which has been officially confirmed by Samsung) and has 1GB of RAM. Its other specifications include a 4.6″ display with a 720p HD resolution and two cameras with resolutions of 12MP and 2MP. The smartphone is, of course, running Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. B. A.
