Android 2.1 available for Verizon Wireless Droid Eris, and leaked one for Sprint HTC Hero
The US variants for the original HTC Hero are beginning to see their Android 2.1 operating system upgrade – one in the official form while the second appears in leaked form.
Verizon Wireless’ model of the HTC Hero, called the HTC Droid Eris, got its upgrade officially late last week and the upgrade should be trickling out to users over the next few weeks; visiting the Verizon Wireless support site shows that the upgrade is “coming soon.”
