The Transformer Prime to receive Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich after 12.01
|
ASUS is the first company to release a Tegra 3 device and it’s probably going to be the first company to provide Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich for its users as well. They’ve already announced on the Facebook page that the update is going to start on 12.01, so if you’ve got a Prime, we recommend you check the update availability regularly.
Another update should partly fix the GPS (which some users have said to be problematic) , but ASUS also say, that this is not a professional navigation device and we shouldn’t be expecting it to perform as such. The other issue users have with the Transformer Prime is the locked bootloader, which ASUS have said to be required for certain software. Still, the company is already working on a software tool that will unlock it for those who wish to do so. B. A.
