The Samsung / Google Galaxy Nexus

The Galaxy Nexus was finally unveiled along with ICS and it’s quite an interesting device. Design-wise it looks a lot like a mixture between the Galaxy SII and the Nexus S – it has a slim curved body with the familiar bump on the bottom. On the back side, you’ll see the camera in the middle  and flash right under it. On the front there’s just a speaker grill, a 1.3MP camera and of course, the 4.65″ Super AMOLED HD screen.

When you turn it on, you realize, that most of the time the screen is practically 4.4″, because of the software buttons on the bottom. Still when watching movies you get to enjoy its full size. The specs aren’t anything amazing, but still – quite good. The device is running a 1.2 gHz OMAP 4460 processor and has 1GB of RAM, which means it’s on par with the best smartphones of today. The camera is surprisingly just a 5MP one, though that doesn’t necessarily means it will produce bad photos. The device is capable of 4G data connection and also has NFC, 802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi and a barometer. B. A.
