The first photos taken with Sony Ericsson’s future camera phone

According to recent rumors, Sony Ericsson are working on a very powerful camera phone. The device is expected to have a 13MP main camera with a back-illuminated Exmor R sensor, which means it should shoot great stills even if there isn’t much light. This sensor is already being used in some of their top devices this year, so you can draw your conclusions from them.

The phone also has a powerful processor – a dual-core 1.5 gHz one, and a 4.55″ Reality display with a 720×1280 resolution. You can see a few pictures taken with this device in a Picasa web album and even though they have been compressed and are not at full resolution, they’re still very impressive, which goes to show you should expect a great camera phone.
