Nokia released Symbian Anna update for the following phones: Nokia N8, Nokia E7, Nokia C7 and Nokia C6-01. Originally, the update is available in several countries at the moment – UK, France, Italy and India, but is expected in the coming days and weeks to come all over the world.
Symbian Anna will update your phone firmware to version 22.014 (or similar depending on the model of the device). This may happen in two steps – first the system will ask you to install the update with some advance features that Anna required, then you will get with the current version. You can install the Symbian Anna update through Ovi Suite on your PC or use the built-in Nokia Software Update. The first option is better, because the update files have a size around 27MB.
Here is briefly what Symbian Anna will please owners of the Nokia N8, E7, C7 and C6-01:
- Improved designs – from icons to the widgets
- Improved built-in browser;
- Enhanced security;
- Virtual QWERTY keyboard in portrait mode display;
- Improved text input;
- Updated version of Ovi Maps;
- Activation of the NFC chip for Nokia C7.
