RIM to Give Thousands of Phones Away to Developers
|
It’s already clear, that RIM are relying heavily on their new BlackBerry 10 platform, which is expected to be released by the end of this year, to regain their former market share. The software is going to be based on the OS, which can be found in the company’s first tablet PC – the BlakBerry PlayBook, which means it’s going to rely on the QNX platform. The company, it seems, is going to be well-prepared for the debut of their first BB10 devices and they’re even going to give 2000 of the new phones away to developers during the BlackBerry Jam conference in the beginning of May. Currently a lot of people are eagerly anticipating the debut of RIM’s new platform, which means, that the company should be really careful not to delay it or even worse – disappoint the fans. B. A.
