The BlackBerry PlayBook to Receive BlackBerry OS 10

RIM recently released an important update for their tablet, the PlayBook, and it seems they are planning to keep on supporting the device for quite a long time. The Canadian company has confirmed in a recent statement for TechRadar, that the next version of the BlackBerry platform (the long-awaited semi-mythical BB10) is guaranteed to be released for their tablet. This is actually quite logical, knowing that BlackBerry OS 10 is based on QNX, the platform, which the PlayBook currently uses. The OS is expected to come at the end of this year and is also going to be used in RIM’s new line of smartphones, which are also going to be released then. B. A.
