Omnia W – the first Windows Phone Mango device from Samsung

After Fujitsu Toshiba and HTC, Samsung is the next company to present a new smartphone with the latest version of Windows Phone, which is known as Mango – the device is named Samsung Omnia W.

The new smartphone from Samsung has once again Super AMOLED display, but the diagonal is decreased from 4″ to 3.7″ – good news for all fans of smaller handsets. As it can be assumed, the operating system is Windows Phone Mango (Windows Phone 7.5), and among other differences with the predecessor of the device is the new Qualcomm Snapdragon processor @ operating frequency of 1.4GHz. Built-in memory capacity is 8GB, and the battery has a capacity of 1500 mAh.

If you intend to use the new Samsung Omnia W as the main camera, you might be disappointed because the camera has a resolution of 5MP. However, it takes videos in 720p HD video resolution. There is also a VGA front camera for video calls.

The phone supports HSPA 14.4Mbps to quickly download information and additions from Samsung in the form of DLNA client AllShare, Mini Diary of keeping the media diary application for reading electronic books and client for RSS feeds. Sales of Samsung Omnia W began in late October, first in Italy and then in other markets.
