According to Taiwanese – Barnes & Noble are ready to begin deliveries of Nook Color 2 in September. TPK Holding will be the supplier of panels for the device while Inventec will assemble with Pegatron.
Inventec and Pegatron will have to provide three million pieces of Nook Color 2 to the end of 2011, the panels for the next reader of Barnes & Noble will again be maded by E Ink.
Nook Color 2 will have a 7 inch full color touch screen in addition to standard features such as a device that works with different formats – audio files and text, will also maintain a working e-mail, games and applications. Earlier in the year, the Barnes & Noble CEO announced it expects that the 2013 revenue from their electronic content to reach $1 billion. For this purpose, Barnes & Noble will have to sell 10 million units by then.
