LG have revealed the new version of the interface, which they put on all of their Android devices. It’s called Optimus UI 3.0 and is intended only for devices running Ice Cream Sandwich. What the software actually does is to add some unique features and different look to the standard Android interface – much like HTC Sense and Samsung ToushWiz. Some of the new features, added with this version of the UI are the easier unlock gesture – just a swype anywhere on the screen, and an option to directly run an application from the lockscreen by writing a symbol. The company has also added the possibility to shoot pictures with the help voice commands.

According to LG, the new version of their UI is not only simpler in comparison to the older version, but it also adds even more options for personalization, such as replacement of the icons with images, chosen by the users themselves. The first phones, which we’re going to see running this UI are LG Optimus 4X HD and LG Optimus LTE II. B. A.
