The company already announced that the official GoPro application for Android is now available for free download!

GoPro App for Android

The new GoPro Android app has the same features as the one for iOS, allowing users to control their GoPro camera remotely – full control of all camera settings, view the captured content and provides access to a selection of all videos per day. At the moment, the application is only compatible with GoPro HD Hero 2, but also you will need to use the Wi-Fi BacPac and a smartphone or tablet running at least Android version 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, about the GoPro Hero 3 support – it will be added soon, so stay tuned!

The GoPro App also gives you access to our Photo of the Day & Video of the Day channels, that keep you in touch with the latest radness from The GoPro Network. The GoPro App is currently only compatible with Wi-Fi BacPac™-enabled HD HERO2® cameras. For best GoPro App performance use 4.0 or newer Android devices. Older generations of Android devices may experience inconsistent video streaming frame rates.
