Google Nexus 7 Running Open WebOS
Another piece of OS porting news – Open WebOS was sucessefuly ported to the Google Nexus 7 tablet. The port author (Simon Busch, a.k.a. morphis) wanted a cheap, easy-to-support tablet and Nexus 7 wins this time.
The new WebOS ROM is currently in alpha version and it’s not fully functional at the moment, but as you can see from the video demonstration below, there is a working Wi-Fi connection.
We have no information about the public release of this OS port, so stay tuned π
