Foxconn: The iPhone 5 will be much better than the Galaxy S3

The Chairman of Foxconn – Terry Gou, has stated in front of Chine Times, that anyone, who wants to have the best phone on the market, is going to have to wait for the premiere of the iPhone 5 in the months to come. According to him, the next generation of Apple’s hit smartphone is going to put the Korean superphone to shame. Gou has also said, during a shareholders’ meeting, that he expects Foxconn to take a big part of Samsung’s market share in the next 3 to 5 years with the help of Sharp’s technologies.

Back in 2010, the Korean giant accused some of its Taiwanese competitors in a cartel deal, so we could imagine, that Foxconn might not have the warmest of feeling for them. In the same time, Gou has also said, that the Sharp factory in Sakai, of which Foxconn own 46,5% , has made an exclusive deal with Corning for the usage of their Gorilla glass on big panels, which means that their competitors (including Samsung) are going to have to find an alternative to use in their products.
