Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Now Running on 10% of All Android Devices

According to the latest official research from Google about their mobile platform, 29.1% of all Android users are running Ice Cream Sandwich compared to the “only” 10.2% for Jelly Bean. For comparison, in August 2012 these numbers were 15.9% and 0.8%.

More difficult obviously is the update from Android 2.3 Gingerbread to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, as it is still 47.6% of all consumers are running Gingerbread. If you look closely, even the “retro” versions of Android – 1.6 Donut and 2.1 Eclair are still in the list!
