LG wrote on their German company’s blog that by the end of the month will be released an official update to Android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean for Optimus 4X HD and Optimus L7. Unfortunately, the update will be available only for those who bought their phones already unlocked, all other branded devices will have to wait for the official update from the operators.

With the new software update, you will get a Google Now support and improved interface performance, thanks to the Project Butter technology, WPS support for the Wi-Fi connections, a faster Android Beam 2.0 data transfer and much more.
