The HTC Rhyme – a smartphone for women

HTC have finally decided to officially present their first ladies’ phone – the HTC Rhyme (also known by it’s code name Bliss). Hardware wise the phone isn’t very interesting – it runs a 1 gHz single-core Snapdragon 8255 processor with an Adreno 205 GPU and has 768 MB of RAM memory – not bad, but far from cutting-edge.

Some of the other features are a 5 MP camera, capable of 720p HD video recording and a 3.7″ WVGA screen. The software is also pretty standard – Android 2.3 and the new Sense 3.5 on top of it.

However what makes this phone so interesting (and it really is) are the accessories it comes with. In the box you’ll find a Bluetooth hands-free, Bluetooth car-speaker, docking station for charging (when your phone is connected to it, it acts as an alarm clock and music system) and last but not least a strange little dongle, which you could have hanging from your purse, so you know when someone’s calling/texting you and it also helps you find your phone in there.

Overall it’s a good device for the ladies and it’s going to hit the market this October. B.A.
