Samsung may be the number one smartphone manufacturer
|According to Strategy Analytics, it may turn out Samsung has sold more smartphones than Apple in Q2. Bloomberg just published, that Samsung’s sales are between 18 and 21 million devices. For the same period Nokia has sold 16.7 million and Apple – 20.3 million, so Samsung may already be the world’s largest smartphone manufacturer. It is good to see some changes – Nokia has been the “smartphone king” ever since they introduced the first smartphone 15 years ago – the 900 Communicator. Samsung is also closing the gap in the overall mobile phone market – they have sold about 20% of all cellphones this year, compared to Nokia’s 26%. B.A.

It’s a shame that Samsung sucks so bad at updating their phones. It took them forever to upgrade the Fascinate to 2.2. I’m not interested in how many models they have if they can’t support what they have.
