redsn0w already unlocks the file system of iOS 5
It seems like a good time to release the tethered redsn0w jailbreak for iOS 5.
Apple presented iOS5 a few days ago, but that is not obstacle for hackers. iPhone Dev Team has been jalbreaked the new iOS5, the program is called redsn0w and allows to the users to install unofficial applications and games on their phones.
The following devices are supported:
- iPod touch 3G
- iPod touch 4G
- iPad 1
- iPhone 3GS
- iPhone 4 (GSM)
- iPhone 4 (CDMA)
There are still many bugs and incompatibilities with certain applications from the Apple’s official and unofficial app stores. To use redsn0w 0.9.8b1 on Mac, you will need a UDID number, as you can get only if you are a registered developer of Apple.

I have a iPod touch 4th generation (4.1) And it’s jailbroken, I want to update my iPod to 5.0 and I want all my jailbroken stuff on my iPod, how will I do that without losing anything? Thanks if anyone can help.
