Lenovo has confirmed the rumors, about it joining the Windows Phone device manufacturers team and have announced they will present their first device with the platform next year. Just days before the official confirmation of these rumors, pictures of the so called LePhone S2 running Windows Phone 7.5 Mango appeared online. According to Lenovo’s product manager in charge of the LePhone series, the company has already developed a market strategy and according to it LePhones running Windows Phone are scheduled to appear in the second half of 2012. It’s still not clear if these phone are going to be sold worldwide or just in China, but either way this is good for Microsoft, who are trying to strengthen their positions on the mobile market. The Marketplace should also be released soon in China – most likely in the beginning of 2012. B. A.
