HTC: We’re not going to be the next Nokia
|
For the last few months, HTC have surprised us with better and better financial results, but it seems their streak is about to end. A few days ago the company (rather surprisingly) announced they’re not expecting big profits for Q4 – an unusual statement from a manufacturer, which had so far increased their profits by more than 10% each quarter. According to Reuters, HTC has planned their strategy and are not going to end up being “the next Nokia”‘.
The company has promised to surprise us with a lot of powerful devices next year. The agency also said HTC have done worst out of all major smartphone manufacturers for this year and their stocks have gone down by more than 30%. The reason for that is the fact that investors are backing out of the company, because they don’t think HTC are capable of making ground-breaking devices with which to fight the competition. The company’s stocks are going at $478 which is hardly impressive compared to the $1238 they hit just this April. B. A.
