The first people to buy the Galaxy Nexus must have been surprised to find out there is currently no Flash player on their devices and they can’t download it from the market either – it’s not yet supported by Android 4.0. Reviewers of course knew about this a couple of weeks ago, but they thought it was due to unfinished software. It seems it’s more complex than that and the plug-in won’t be available for the platform in the near future. Google say Flash support will be added as soon as Adobe add support for the new version of the platform to Flash player. Recently Adobe announced they aren’t going to develop the plug-in for mobile devices any more, but Google have assured their customers Flash support will be added to Android 4.0, though they haven’t given an exact date.
