The Galaxy S3 might receive Android Jelly Bean this fall
Most of the Galaxy S3 owners are probably already wondering when they’re going to receive the update to the newest version of Android – after all the much older Galaxy Nexus already has. Well, at least according to the rumors, the beta versions of Jelly Bean for the Galaxy S3 have already passed the company’s tests and the Koreans are already working on the final version, trying to be ready for its release even before Google has officially allowed them to release it. The update is expected to become available for most users by the end of Q3 or in the beginning of Q4 this year.
The good news don’t end there, though – the Galaxy S2 is also very likely to receive the update – hardly surprising, considering what a large user-base the device still has. More to the point, though – the beta-tests of the S2’s software have also gone well and even if the company decides, for some reason, not to release the update itself, it will provide a value pack – much like the one, which was supposed to be the substitute for the original Galaxy S’ Ice Cream Sandwich update.
