We’re still waiting for the first devices, running Windows Phone Tango to hit the market and with that, the current ones to receive the update. Meanwhile, the first ROM of the new version of the Microsoft’s mobile platform recently leaked online (already ported to the HD2). Of course, the enthusiasts from XDA Developers immediately started exploring it and have already found a couple of new features, which were unknown so far. One of the most interesting discoveries is the fact, that the Windows Phone Tango now supports up to 8 apps working simultaneously in the background, up from 5 so far. This doesn’t really sound like such a big thing, but we’re expecting it to be very useful in the everyday use of the device.

As was already revealed, even devices with 256MB of RAM memory are going to support multitasking, but only with apps, which require less than 90MB of RAM to run. According to the developers from the XDA forums, Windows Phone Tango is going to have better optimization of the memory usage and the platform itself is going to use 30MB of RAM less to run. B. A.
