The Nook Tablet
|
In less than two weeks, the Kindle Fire will finally have a real competitor. It’s coming from Barnes & Noble and is called the Nook Tablet, which is to show the device is somewhat of a successor to the Nook Color.
The Nook Tablet is actually a lot like Amazon’s device and in some ways it’s even better – it has twice as much RAM – 1 GB and 16 GB built-in memory (compared to 8 GB in the Fire) and an SD-card slot. The Nook’s screen and processor are the same as Kindle’s ones and battery life should be okay – 8 hours with the Wi-Fi off. The Nook Tablet will hit the US market on 16.11 for $249, while the Fire will arrive on 07.11 for just $199. B. A.
