The Nokia N8 is still the smartphone with the largest photo-sensor and that’s part of what makes it the best camera phone on the market. Still, the device will be 2 years old in a few months and it’s time Nokia released its successor. Rumors have it they’re working on such a device and it’s supposed to be announced in the beginning of 2012.

It’s expected to have a 3.5″ Clear Black display with WVGA resolution and Gorilla glass, an ARMv7 1 gHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. Of course its camera functions will also be improved – it will have an even bigger sensor and even optical zoom – a feature rarely seen in phones. The device is expected to run on Symbian, as it provides better camera software than Windows Phone, though that may change with Windows Phone Apollo. It’s still unknown what version of Symbian it’ll have as  current ones only support screen resolutions up to  640 х 480 pixels. B. A.
