The LG Optimus Vu
|
In the beginning of March, one of the most interesting smartphones in recent months is going to hit the market and surprisingly or not, it comes from LG. While the name Optimus Vu doesn’t really sound all that special, the design of the device surely is.
With its 5″ screen (1024 x 768), the Optimus Vu is designed to be somewhat of a competitor of the Samsung Galaxy Note, but the 4:3 aspect ration means, that its form-factor is quite… different. The overall result is a square-looking phone, which is just 8.5 mm thick. The hardware is also quite impressive – the LG Optimus Vu has a dual-core Qualcomm processor, clocked at 1.5 gHZ and an 8MP camera as well as LTE capabilities and 32GB of memory. Some of its interesting features include usage with a stylus, 2080 mAh battery and digital TV reception using the T-DMB standard. The device is going to come out with Android 2.3, but an update towards Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich has been promised to come in 3 months. B. A.
