LG seem to have decided to reveal of their new smartphones before the Mobile Congress and this week, it’s time for the LG Optimus 4X HD – the successor of the 2X. As the name suggests, the device has a quad-core processor, a Tegra-3 clocked at 1.5 gHz to be exact, and an HD (1280×720) display, which is 4.7″ in diagonal.

The device also has twice as much RAM as the 2X – 1GB, and an improved 8MP camera. The software of the LG Optimus 4X HD is also up-to-date, as it’s running the latest version of Android – 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Thankfully, LG have decided to pair the powerful hardware with a solid 2150 mAh battery, which doesn’t seem to have made any difference in the overall design – the device is just 8.9mm thick. The new LG Optimus 4X HD is scheduled to hit the European market in Q2. B. A.
