The Isis Mobile Payment Platform Almost Ready
|
It seems like Google are in for some serious competition in the mobile wallet sector, as the Isis mobile payment platform (Isis Wallet), which uses NFC, was just demonstrated at the SXSW conference. The platform is going to become available for the users of Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile this summer.
The new service actually works a lot like Google’s Wallet, but while Google currently only have a contract with Sprint, Isis seem to have secured a wider audience with the three operators as partners. The latter service also has a social element, because it helps you follow the current sales in the stores, which you prefer. The manager of marketing of the company has stated in a recent interview, that Isis is not only aiming to change the way people pay, but also the way they shop. B. A.
