According to the information, which has been released by JPMorgan, Samsung have done quite well in the second quarter of 2012. To be exact, the Koreans have sold about 6,5 million of their flagship smartphone – the Galaxy SIII with expectations remaining high for the device’s sales in the next quarter as well – according to the analyzers, the SIII is going to reach 15 million sales by the end of Q3.

The agency has also shared its expectations on Samsung’s overall smartphone sales for the second quarter of this year – 50 million, in order words – way over the expectations for the iPhone’s sales, which are about 30 million. If this turns out to be true, Apple will certainly be a lot behind Samsung in smartphone sales in the first half of 2012, though we can’t really say that’s a surprise – after all, you can only sell so many devices when you’re just offering one model.
