If you already have an MHL adapter, which you’re using to connect your mobile device with an HDMI TV and you’re planning on buying a Galaxy SIII, you would probably be quite interested to know, that Samsung’s latest superphone is using another kind of MHL port. This discrepancy with the current adapters has been spotted by an English tech store, which has written, that the pins on the port have been arranged in a different way, which requires another adapter, which is going to set you back about $40. It remains unknown, whether on not this adapter is going to be able to work with older devcie, though the answer is most likely going to be negative. Samsung’s decision to (silently) change the standard they’re using is quite peculiar and it has, of course, made a lot of their customers quite angry. B. A.
