Sony Ericsson’s CEO doesn’t regret not partnering with Windows Phone
|
Just like Motorola, Sony Ericsson is one of the few companies, relying only on one platform – in their case Android. And in an interview for the Wall Street Journal, SE’s CEO said he doesn’t regret choosing to stay with Android and not making Windows Phone devices as well. According to him, Microsoft’s platform isn’t as good as Google’s. He also admits that Sony Ericsson shouldn’t have underestimated the iPhone back in 2007. He also commented on the current technical specifications of Sony’s devices which aren’t quite as powerful as the dual-core beasts the Asian Group and now Apple have released. According to him, SE’s strategy of holding back until they’re sure users will prefer the new technologies is better for the time being. B.A.
