Samsung Video Call app for Windows Phone
|
Almost all of the current Windows Phone smartphones on the market are equipped with front camera, but as you know the problem is that there is no software supporting video calls at the moment. We all are waiting for the final Microsoft’s decision about Skype (among other features it will bring video calls to the platform)!
But in the last few days, it turns out that Samsung has its own application for video calls, moreover, you can also make calls via 3G and WiFi networks. The new Video Call application is available for all Samsung devices with front cameras.

I have samsung focus S but i am not able to get the video call app from samsung marketplace don’t know why. Rest all the apps are working though. this phone does have front facing camera then why the app is not available for my phone.
I am also facing similar issue. I get an error “Video call is not supported on this device. Check the mobile phone coverage on your mobile operator”. Did you get a solution to the problem till now
Hi DK Sharma,
This app was tested and works only on Samsung devices running the stock ROM, so if you find anything interesting or get it running, please share the info with us π

Thanks for the response.
I am infact trying it on Samsung Focus S, not sure what is meant by stock ROM or if this phone supports it.
Did not get it working till now although tried all means. Contacted Samsung India (where I am trying to use it), Vodafone India, Samsung US and AT & T but not much luck. I am told by Samsung US confirmed that the fone supports 3G native video call but could not figure out what the problem is. Skype and Tango are working successfully already for video call.
Please suggest in case anyone has any suggestions.
