Qualcomm have published details on their S4 processors
|A while ago Qualcomm published a road map of their Snapdragon series processors and the top SoC in the family is the S4. Just a few days ago they published more information about it – it’s going to use the 28 nm technology and run at 1.5 GHz to 2.5 GHz. This makes it both more powerful and less energy consuming than the 45 nm processors of today. The chip will also use the Adreno 225 GPU, which is supposed to be 50% more powerful than the current Adreno 220. The S4 will support mobile networks with frequencies from 700 mHz to 2600 mHz and will be compatible with both LTE and HSPA+ standards. The first devices using the SoC should be unveiled at CES 2012 and the Mobile Congress in February. B. A.
