New XPERIA X1 ROM update
For proud owners of the Sony XPERIA X1, Sony Ericsson has made a ROM upgrade available to the Windows Mobile handset, with features such as a brighter keyboard, improved signal strength, more responsive touchscreen, and a quicker media panel.

If you are using the Xperia X1 in Korea, but you want the phone to run in ENGLISH, it is frustrating.
SK Telecom does not support an English language version of Windows Mobile.
However, you CAN switch the phone to English, get a better version of Windows, keep your text messaging, and have the phone read and write both English and Korean characters.

This guy has developed a bunch of cooked ROMs for the Xperia. To install them, you will need to run HardSPL on your phone, then flash the new ROM. If you’ve never done it before, check the xda developers forum, or do a google search to get instructions. Its not that hard, just sounds that way.
