Motorola to lay off 800 employees

At the end of last week Motorola announced, they’re going to lay off 800 employees. According to them this has nothing to do with Google. They’re actually trying to improve their financial condition and they have actually already  implemented various reforms. Motorola are expecting to spend $31 million on this move, before they start profiting from it. Even though their financial results for the summer, the american company has managed to sell just 400,000 more device for these three months than last year’s  quarter and there were just 100,000 Xoom tablets sold.
