LG continues tempting high-tech geeks by releasing their second smartphone with 3D capabilities. The Optimus 3D Max, which was initially revealed at Barcelona, has now hit the European market for all those fans of  3D technologies to enjoy. The device is relying on a dual-core processor, which runs at 1.2 gHz and has 1GB of RAM to go with it. Sadly, it’s still running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but the Koreans have promised, that an Ice Cream Sandwich update is going to be released later on.

Just like its predecessor, the LG Optimus 3D Max features a 4.3″ autostereoscopic display and two 5MP cameras, which shoot the 3D photos and video, but, despite this, LG have managed to make it 2mm thinner and 20gr lighter than the original Optimus 3D. The Max is also going to provide a better overall 3D experience, because of its improved 2D to 3D converter and the 3D video editor. There is also another interesting feature, which is said to be released in the coming months, which will enable the smartphone to measure the distance between it and the object you’re shooting and even its size.
