iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
Apple just announced the latest iPhone model, in fact there’s two phones (different versions of the same device) – iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, of course all the rumors are confirmed and the main difference is the screen size 4.7″ and 5.5″ for the Plus version (1334 x 750 and 1920 x 1080 pixels).
What’s new in the iPhone 6:
Let’s start with the screen, it’s a completely new technology and features a polarized filter for better visibility, both new iPhones are thinner compared to the iPhone 5 (6.8mm compared to 7.6mm), also the power button is moved to the right side of the phone. iPhone 6 Plus features a new user interface, that’s needed due to the bigger screen size, if you flip the phone horizontally it looks similar to the iPad UI.
iPhone 6 uses the latest 20nm A8 chip, it’s a 64 bit and 13% smaller compared to the A7, with a 20% more powerful processor and 50% GPU. According to Apple’s press release, the new A8 chip will stay cooler with a heavy usage (but who knows!?). There’s another interesting about the specs, iPhone 6 also features and a co-processor M8 and it’s especially designed for the fitness apps, for example to access the user conditions, if you walk, ride a bicycle, measure the distance, and much more new stuff.
