The new Apple iPad 2 is certainly sleeker in design. It has rounded corners; therefore it feels smoother to hold. You’ll feel that you can curl up your fingers more easily around this one. Apple has produced an even thinner and slightly smaller version than the original one; iPad 2 is even thinner than the iPhone. So you definitely got a sleeker gadget in your hands. The original iPad is around 13.4 mm thick whereas the new one is around 8.8 mm thick. It weighs around 680 grams and so it is 80 grams lighter than the original iPad; so undeniably you have an even lighter gadget this time.

With all of the design variations that Apple has put into this version, it almost feels as if it is made of plastic and might need a protective coating. But this is not the case because the back is actually metal. However the metal sheet at the back thinner than the original which is why the whole tablet feels 15% lighter than the first version.
iPad 2 also comes with a front facing VGA camera as well as a back facing camera which is obviously missing in the original one; both of these cameras can take pictures and make movies. Now you can edit movies and share pictures with your friends.
